Carolina Vallejo

Carolina wears many different hats, most often working with us as a creative strategist, designer and maker.

Originally from Colombia, Carolina has lived in Barcelona, New York, briefly in Tokyo and now in London. She holds a degree in Literature, a Masters in Publishing and another Masters in Interactive Thingies and Their Likes from the wonderful ITP at NYU (just don't get her started about ITP, because once she's started, she won't stop).

Carolina currently splits her time between Superflux, Nexus Interactive Arts, Makerhood (she's a proud Brixtonite) and various other projects around architecture, design, community-building and interactive arts. She also spends an insane amount of time cooking and eating, and less and less time on Facebook and Twitter.

She's passionate about alternative education and responsible, community-oriented design. Spending almost a quarter of the year travelling internationally with her husband Shin Egashira, the duo work together to coordinate a series of architecture, landscape and communication workshops in locations from Koshirakura to Muxagata. She created Design for the First World, is a co-founder of MediaLab Bogotá, and, somewhere in her past life, co-founded the Spanish information visualization company Bestiario
