Anab Jain

As Co-founder and Director of Superflux, Anab hopes to realise our vision of the studio as a new kind of design practice, responsive to the challenges and opportunities of the twenty-first century.

Born and educated in India (NID), with an MA in Interaction Design from the Royal College of Art, Anab leads the Consultancy's client partnerships whilst balancing the Lab's self-initiated conceptual projects. She has lead multidisciplinary design, strategy and foresight projects for businesses, think-tanks and research organisations such as Sony, Anthemis, Samsung, BBC, Nokia, NHS, Design Council, Forum for the Future, Qatar Foundation and Govt. of UAE. 

As a practitioner for over ten years, Anab has gained international recognition for her work and commentary on design, innovation, emerging technologies and complex futures. Honoured as a TED Fellow, she is the receipient of several awards, including the Award of Excellence ICSID and Apply Computers, Innovation Award, Chicago International Film Festival and the UNESCO Digital Arts Award.

Anab's work has been exhibited at MoMA New York, Apple Computers Inc, Mattel Toys, Tate Modern, Science Gallery Dublin, V&A Museum, National Museum of China and the London Design Festival. She serves on the Advisory Boards of London School of Economics' Media and Communications Dept, MzTek and Broadway Cinema and Media Centre, and is a guest lecturer at the HEAD GenevaRoyal College of ArtVCUQatarArchitectural AssociationGoldsmiths, Dundee Innovative Product Design and CIID. 

Anab regularly gives talks and presentations on the future of emerging technologies, and the design of products and services in a complex, uncertain world. 
She has delivered talks and keynotes at several conferences including MIT Media Lab and Museum of Modern Art's first design summit 'Knotty Objects', PICNIC, WCIT2010, LIFT, SIGGRAPH, Global Design Forum, EPIC, Design Engaged and FuturEverything. Recent talks include Design for the New NormalValley of the Meatpuppets and How Will We Live
